Through Opera Education, AsLiCo’s goal is to reunite all its musical education projects oriented to the young public.
Opera Education is a platform which consists of four significant realities. Opera Kids, focused on preparatory school children, offers an interactive show – normally a short opera including piano, singer and actor – which is a unique occasion to take on the role of lead in a play thought deliberately for children and to sing together through the music, which has the power to unite everyone.
Opera Domani, oriented to pupils in the secondary school, is a big project which aims –and has been aiming for 20 years – to make children and pupils familiar with the magic language of the lyric. A show where the audience is invited to interact by singing the play’s airs. ‘Merlino’s Island’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Magic Flute’, ‘Hansel and Gretel’, ‘Love Elixir’, ‘Don Giovanni’, ‘Nabucco’, ‘Aida’: these are a few titles which have been staged by Opera Domani, a project that attracts 100.000 students of 23 Italian cities.
Opera Baby is a new format focused on kids from 8 to 36 months old which has been introduced in 2015. It consists of a performance of musical theatre, images and tactile experience to guide the first steps of new born children into the opera world.
Opera Education also aims to highlight the teachers’ didactic action, giving particular importance to the pupils’ education of the musical theatre and providing them, through an educational path, with suitable instruments to rehearse with.
