Immerso nella natura del Giardino della Valle, amato e ricavato con anni di lavori e grandissima dedizione, tra alberi secolari e rare specie botaniche, Sandro Laffranchini, primo violoncello dell’Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano esegue tre suites di Johann Sebastian Bach: le Suite n. 2 in re minore, BWV 1008; le Suite n. 3 in do maggiore, BWV 1009; e la Suite n. 6 in re maggiore, BWV 1012. Composte tra il 1717 e il 1723, sono tra i brani più virtuosistici dedicati al violoncello, la cui fama raggiunse per la prima volta il grande pubblico per l’interpretazione che ne offrì Pablo Casals.
In caso di maltempo, l’evento si terrà a Villa Bernasconi, Cernobbio.

Surrounded by nature in the Giardino della Valle, cherished and created with years of hard work and dedication, with centuries-old trees and rare botanic species, Sandro Laffranchini, first cello of the Orchestra of La Scala of Milan, performs three suites by Johann Sebastian Bach: Suite n. 2 in D minor, BWV 1008, Suite n. 3 in C major, BWV 1009, and Suite n. 6 in D major, BWV 1012. These pieces were composed between 1717 and 1723 and are among the most virtuoso pieces for cello. They first rose to fame with their interpretation by Pablo Casals.
In the event of bad weather, the performance will be held at Villa Bernasconi, Cernobbio.
